About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with technical implementation teams to understand product document requirements
  • Assist in creating and submitting documentation required for compliance with the Quality Management System
  • Establish and continuously improve standardized technical writing processes, procedures, and style guidelines
  • Contribute to documentation development lifecycle improvements
  • Convert legacy formatting to current formatting and style guidelines
  • Create documentation using standardized templates
  • Analyze and edit content to maintain continuity of style and content
  • Assess audience needs for technical and procedural documentation
  • Conduct document reviews and collect stakeholder input
  • Create data flow diagrams, component diagrams, and similar technical illustrations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance (US citizenship required)
  • At least 2 years of experience writing technical reports, analyzing technical literature, writing descriptive copy, and verifying documentation with appropriate sources
  • Ability to use various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Familiarity with Arbortext Editor, Adobe CC, Adobe Acrobat, HTML, XML, and S1000D specification preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Active SECRET Clearance and US Citizenship
