About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer, maintain, and support Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments within a SCADA/Energy Management System real-time power operations system
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of Windows hardware and software in an air-gapped environment
  • Plan and schedule installation of new or modified Windows servers, workstations, and applications
  • Ensure compliance with configuration management processes and industry standards
  • Manage the lifecycle of Windows hardware and peripheral equipment, including ordering, inventory, installation, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning
  • Perform Active Directory management, Group Policy administration, user account management, and resource sharing
  • Administer VMware ESXi 8, Dell Precision Tower environments, Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE ProLiant servers
  • Maintain availability, security, stability, and performance of critical infrastructure
  • Identify and resolve Windows system issues to ensure operational continuity
  • Provide technical support to end users and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Create and maintain documentation for system logs, patching, security configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • All candidates must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust (Tier 4)
  • 3-5 years of experience in Systems Administration or similar role
  • Expertise in Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, and Active Directory administration
  • Familiarity with VMware ESXi, Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE ProLiant Gen 10–Gen 12 servers
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows-based technical issues
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and kneel to move equipment and set up workstations
  • Must be able to present acceptable identification for customer badging and site access, such as a REAL ID-compliant driver license, U.S. Passport, or other approved GSA document
