About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support management team members and executives as needed
Perform administrative duties for the sales team, including meeting or conference planning and preparation
Assist the Inside Sales team with data reports and sales guides
Monitor sales performance through sales tracking tools and report progress to the Inside Sales team
Attend virtual and in-person meetings and respond to emails to assist all territories within the region
Meet with senior leaders to provide updates on strategic deliverables and insights into client trends
Coordinate sales metric reports for productivity and key performance metrics
Draft presentations and reports for the sales team
Respond to customer requests via email, phone, social media, and chat
Provide customer service by managing pending orders and customer requests
Identify opportunities for sales performance and sales process improvements
Prepare content and identify marketing and sales opportunities for social media platforms
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience required
Proven work experience as a Sales Support Specialist
Railroad, Construction, or other related industry experience, preferred
Railroad Industry marketing experience, preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Active listener and ability to adapt quickly to various customer needs
Analytical and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Time management and organization skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites and social media platforms
Ability to interpret sales metrics and perform data entry
