About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate sales revenue to obtain sales quota
  • Prospect, profile, and manage existing producers for new and existing insurance sales opportunities
  • Recruit new producers into the book of business
  • Utilize internal resources to capitalize on team results and coordinate with supporting teams to monitor and drive activity
  • Develop an annual Business Plan focused on producing or exceeding quota
  • Grow the book of business, accounts, and territory in line with strategic business plan requirements
  • Maintain proactive sales relationships with producers through profiling, relationship-building, and broker-base development
  • Maintain monthly sales production metrics, build sales inventory, and achieve the sales production plan
  • Maintain a consistent blend of Permanent and Term business
  • Partner with Crump operations teams, including contracting, illustrations, case management, underwriting, and commissions, to issue and place policies
  • Stay current on relevant industry, legislative, and tax-related issues
  • Provide agent feedback on product marketing, processing, and customer service issues
  • Conduct proactive sales calls, sales visits, seminars, marketing campaigns, and outreach
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity records
  • Present, conduct, and organize seminars for agents
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in life, annuity, long-term care, and disability products
  • Navigate cases from presale to placement using knowledge of the underwriting process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be in Southern California
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers

  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a self-directed fashion
  • Experience with PCs in a Windows environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Excellent prospecting, presentation, and conceptual selling skills
  • Minimum four years of successful sales experience with life insurance products in the insurance industry
  • Proven proficiency in developing strategic sales plans and continually achieving or exceeding assigned quotas
  • Successful sales experience in the insurance brokerage industry
  • Expert knowledge and experience in life products, complex case design, carrier limits/strengths, carrier selection, and advanced sales concepts
  • Proven sales experience recruiting new producers, growing a book of business, and expanding existing relationships into increased revenue
