About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support quarterly and ad-hoc Insurance Risk reporting and analysis, including preparation, validation, and communication of results and insights to key stakeholders
  • Modify, maintain, operate, and document actuarial models based in spreadsheets or other analytical software
  • Prepare related reports summarizing and communicating Insurance Risk model results
  • Assist in evaluating impacts of model change requests
  • Develop expertise in market sensitivities, Statutory and GAAP accounting, and actuarial modeling techniques
  • Participate in actuarial projects within a well-defined scope and responsibility
  • Perform analysis on specific actuarial topics
  • Describe actuarial concepts to other business areas
  • Test results of project implementations
  • Communicate status and impediments to completing tasks
  • Support operation and validation of business controls and model governance requirements
  • Perform basic logical validation on inputs and outputs
  • Collect evidence to validate process effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related disciplines
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • At least 1 Actuarial exam passed
  • Valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States
  • VEE coursework completion preferred
  • Actuarial internship experience preferred
  • Experience with MS Excel, VBA, MS Access, and other database applications preferred
