About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive growth and adoption of Ameriprise Bank banking and cash solutions across an assigned territory
  • Build and execute a territory sales strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing advisors through one-on-one meetings, educational sessions, client events, and presentations
  • Identify advisor needs, recommend banking and cash management solutions, and drive product adoption
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, field leadership, and other business partners
  • Communicate market insights, industry trends, and competitive developments
  • Travel throughout the territory for advisor meetings, training programs, client events, and national, regional, and industry events
  • Leverage proprietary tools, customer relationship management platforms, and sales analytics to identify opportunities and enhance sales effectiveness
  • Manage schedules, meeting preparation, follow-up activities, budget oversight, and advisor recognition initiatives
  • Maintain required licenses, registrations, and regulatory compliance through applicable training and continuing education

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry in a sales-focused role
  • Deep knowledge of advisor business models, investment products, and financial solutions
  • Expertise selling deposit and lending products, including checking and savings accounts, home lending solutions, securities-based lending, and credit card products
  • Active Series 7 or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Active State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Active State IAR registration (S65 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%
  • Must reside within the assigned region
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce
  • Ability to learn and position proprietary products and solutions
  • Experience applying consultative sales methodologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to speak to large audiences and influence and motivate diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment while managing competing priorities and delivering results
