About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a customer service team, potentially including team leads and service professionals
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures supporting high-quality service delivery
- Assist with staffing plans and provide work direction, team development, and coaching
- Lead client service projects or initiatives
- Ensure client service and accuracy standards and metrics are met
- Serve as a key resource for internal partners on customer service projects and initiatives
- Provide cross-functional leadership on project teams when needed
- Lead resolution of complex and high-priority service issues
- Oversee auditing and quality assurance methods to meet accuracy, processing, and quality standards
- Provide leadership and support on processes, procedures, client service standards, and techniques
- Mentor and coach team leaders on team development and process knowledge
- Participate in employee issue approval and coaching and manage cross-functional team involvement
- Coach direct reports through effective performance management, feedback, skill development, and regular one-on-one meetings
- Align team objectives with enterprise or departmental objectives to support engagement in key priorities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- 5–7 years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience
- Extensive experience on a customer service team
- Strong working knowledge of customer service processes, policies, techniques, and applicable regulations
- Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external partners at all levels
- Demonstrated people leadership experience through direct leadership or coaching/mentoring roles
- Strong communication skills, including ability to explain complex issues understandably
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and deliver business results
