About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead sales efforts primarily through net flows
  • Conduct sales opportunity analysis
  • Drive advisor targeting and engagement
  • Direct product subject-matter experts
  • Direct internal and external wholesaling activities
  • Drive advisor net flows through virtual interactions
  • Convey key messaging through defined visits and advisor meetings
  • Execute the region plan and support advisors and field leaders
  • Partner with field leaders, advisors, wholesalers, product partners, corporate communications, WMS, RiverSource, Columbia Threadneedle Investments third-party wholesalers, and other critical groups
  • Translate national call messaging into regional needs and priorities
  • Support creation of the region plan in alignment with the national plan
  • Ensure field leaders and key stakeholders understand the plan
  • Participate in segmentation and regional engagement planning, including coaching programs
  • Engage Experienced Advisor Recruits and field leaders in financial advice through Confident Retirement conversations and client case analysis
  • Participate virtually in client and advisor meetings when appropriate, engaging product experts and other resources

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience participating in client meetings supporting/facilitating discussion and client case analysis
  • Ability to review, analyze, and gather data
  • Ability to identify data trends and develop and articulate solutions to solve gaps in the plan
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate advisors, leaders, and field staff
  • FINRA Series 7
  • State securities license (S63 or S66)
  • State IAR license (S65 or S66)
  • Ability to travel 25%
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Executive presence and ability to answer questions spontaneously
  • Emotional competence, resilience, execution discipline, and positivity
  • Familiarity and some expertise with Wealth Management and Risk
  • Sales experience and coaching skills
  • Valid U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship
