About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure timely and accurate cash reconciliation and reporting for Portfolio Management teams
Interact with Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Manager Assistants to provide overdraft monitoring and notification
Cross-train and become multi-skilled in Trade Management, including Share Class Hedging processes, and Derivatives
Perform reconciliations and cash posting on Aladdin by reconciling custodian and accounting records to the Aladdin application
Publish cash reports on Aladdin for Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Manager Assistants according to agreed SLAs
Monitor and notify Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Manager Assistants of overdraft notifications and resolution
Process time deposit rolls
Resolve actual and projected cash-related questions with Portfolio Management teams
Research and resolve reconciliation differences between custodian, accounting, and Aladdin records
Perform position reconciliations of holdings for cash sweeps and compare balances to cash balances
Provide coverage for operational processing across other Investment Operations teams during peak periods
Support projects for Product, Sales, Compliance, and other departments
Ensure procedures and controls are followed to prevent errors and delays
Provide expertise for system testing, generate ad-hoc reports, and assist with enhancement or regulatory projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

MBA-Finance and B.Com/BBA with 3+ years of work experience
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Understanding of equities, fixed income, money market products, portfolio cash flows, corporate actions, fund accounting, NAV impacts, and regulatory and compliance requirements
Strong understanding of financial markets and investment operations, highly desirable in asset management environments
Experience in investment accounting or cash reconciliations
Strong Excel skills; Pivot Tables, Power Query, and VBA preferred
Experience with trading tools such as BlackRock Aladdin
Technical skills in Python, SQL, Power BI, and Power Automate tools
Stakeholder management
Process improvement and automation mindset
Risk identification and control focus
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to lead projects and mentor junior analysts
Excellent communication and presentation skills
