About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a senior technical authority for SharePoint Online and OneDrive
Design, review and implement scalable enterprise solutions using SharePoint Online, OneDrive and related Microsoft 365 capabilities
Establish and maintain engineering standards, reference designs, configuration standards, operational procedures and technical documentation
Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, developing sustainable corrective actions
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive administration, reporting, governance and operational processes
Evaluate platform risks involving permissions, sharing, lifecycle management, security and governance
Work across teams to establish appropriate controls
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and operations staff without formal people-management responsibility
Evaluate new Microsoft capabilities and recommend adoption
Work directly with business and technology stakeholders to translate complex requirements into secure and supportable solutions
Drive continuous improvement across platform reliability, operational efficiency, governance and user experience
Design, engineer, implement and provide lifecycle support for enterprise SharePoint Online and OneDrive services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience
7-10 years of relevant experience required
7-10 years engineering and integration experience with proven technical expertise in Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies, including SharePoint Online and OneDrive
Demonstrated expertise with platform utilization, performance and operational health
Ability to produce and evaluate measurement reporting, quickly identify outliers, and recommend solutions
Strong analytical and customer service abilities
Ability to communicate and articulate technical information across various organizational levels
Strong thought leadership abilities and a highly innovative problem solver
High reasoning aptitude and ability to quickly understand complex operating environments
Ability to coach and mentor experienced engineering staff
Hands-on experience with PowerShell and automation preferred
Experience developing or supporting SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions preferred
Experience with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST APIs, or comparable Microsoft 365 APIs preferred
Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate preferred
Experience with SharePoint migration technologies such as ShareGate, Metalogix or comparable tools preferred
Experience with application lifecycle management and modern development/deployment practices preferred
Experience with Microsoft 365 information governance, records management, retention and compliance capabilities preferred
Experience with Power BI administration, engineering, governance or operations preferred
Experience with Microsoft Fabric preferred
Experience working in a highly regulated enterprise environment preferred
Valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States
