About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary compensation consultant for assigned business areas
- Build partnerships with business leaders and HR teams to translate priorities into compensation strategies
- Advise on hiring, promotions, organizational changes, career progression, and retention
- Conduct market pricing and competitive analyses using survey data and industry benchmarks
- Analyze market and workforce trends to identify risks, opportunities, and emerging practices
- Recommend pay positioning and compensation structures balancing competitiveness, internal equity, and business needs
- Lead or support enterprise and business-specific compensation initiatives
- Support annual compensation planning, pay program reviews, job evaluations, and career framework work
- Improve compensation processes and program effectiveness
- Prepare analyses and presentations for senior leaders and executive reviews
- Develop recommendations reflecting business priorities, market competitiveness, internal equity, and governance
- Serve as a compensation subject matter expert and provide guidance to leaders, HR partners, and employees
- Explain compensation philosophy, market dynamics, policies, and pay decisions in clear business terms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in compensation, total rewards, HR consulting, or a related field
- Strong business acumen and experience advising leaders on complex workforce issues
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to influence diverse stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
- Valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States
- Preferred: Compensation consulting experience in financial services or another complex, highly regulated industry
- Preferred: Experience with market pricing, salary structures, job evaluation, compensation surveys, and HR technology
- Preferred: Experience supporting leaders through organizational growth and change
- Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
