About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide systems administration, implementation, management, operational support, and technical expertise for assigned systems
- Provision, install, configure, tune, operate, and maintain systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure
- Research technical issues, plan system improvements, and enable continuing infrastructure innovation
- Troubleshoot and solve complex hardware and software problems
- Manage day-to-day administration, operational support, and overall health of the ServiceNow platform
- Support ServiceNow applications including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMDB, Discovery, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and custom applications
- Lead platform triage, recovery coordination, stakeholder communications, and service restoration during P1/P2 major incidents
- Manage Incident, Request, Problem, and Operational Support queues in accordance with SLAs
- Lead Problem Management through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continual service improvement
- Implement and maintain enterprise integrations using MID Servers, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and IntegrationHub
- Monitor platform performance, availability, integrations, scheduled jobs, event logs, and system health metrics
- Develop operational dashboards, KPIs, and reporting
- Support Release Management, deployments, production readiness reviews, change implementations, and post-deployment validation
- Execute platform maintenance including upgrades, patching, cloning, instance refreshes, certificate renewals, and health remediation
- Develop and test Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity procedures
- Ensure compliance with security standards, access controls, audit requirements, segregation of duties, and governance standards
- Partner with ServiceNow Support and third-party vendors on escalations and defect resolutions
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders
- Drive automation, process optimization, technical debt reduction, monitoring enhancements, and continuous improvement
- Maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, support procedures, integration documentation, DR plans, and knowledge articles
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and support personnel
- Adhere to Agile, ITIL, ServiceNow best practices, and enterprise change management standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform as Development/Operations/Administration
- Proven expertise in managing the ServiceNow Platform in large enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of ITSM processes and modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, etc.)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Policies
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and DevOps methodologies
- Strong experience with ServiceNow configuration, scripting, integrations (REST, SOAP APIs), and automation
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
