About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and perform replacement and installation of commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop package units, condensers, evaporators, exhaust systems, ice machines, and walk-in coolers/freezers
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with building, demolition, removal, installation, and general construction tasks
  • Communicate with Project Managers and Superintendents to understand project scope
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Meet with customers and store personnel to review projects
  • Lead a crew of technicians
  • Report crew performance issues
  • Conduct surveys to assist with estimating and project scope creation
  • Source and coordinate subcontractors as needed
  • Follow project scopes and jobsite protocols
  • Identify out-of-scope problems and communicate them to management
  • Purchase and deliver materials
  • Submit daily reports and complete paperwork, photos, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, and expense reports
  • Maintain a clean work environment and professional appearance
  • Ensure crew attendance, breaks, and lunch periods
  • Ensure quality workmanship from self and crew
  • Install and assemble equipment using basic tools and instructions
  • Work days, nights, or weekends as scheduled
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and proactively report unsafe conditions
  • Manage time, prioritize tasks, and develop action plans to resolve issues
  • Travel to out-of-state customer locations as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge and experience in General Contracting
  • EPA Certification
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and under budget
  • Computer skills
  • General knowledge of all trades
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Valid email address
  • Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Extremely organized
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel 75-100% of the time
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, standing, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to work safely and use proper safety techniques and equipment
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize
