About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and perform replacement and installation of commercial HVAC equipment
  • Install roof-top package units, condensers, evaporators, exhaust systems, ice machines, walk-in coolers, and freezers
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with building, demolition, removal, installation, and general construction tasks
  • Lead a crew of technicians
  • Report crew performance issues to Project Managers and Superintendents
  • Meet with customers and store personnel to review projects
  • Conduct jobsite surveys to support estimating and project-scope creation
  • Source and coordinate subcontractors as needed
  • Follow project scopes, jobsite protocols, special instructions, and schedules
  • Identify out-of-scope problems and communicate them to Project Managers and Superintendents
  • Purchase and deliver needed materials
  • Submit daily reports, paperwork, photos, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, and expense reports
  • Maintain a clean work environment and professional appearance
  • Ensure quality workmanship and crew attendance, breaks, and rest
  • Perform work safely and alert management to unsafe acts or conditions
  • Communicate internally and externally with customers
  • Develop action plans to resolve issues
  • Travel to customer locations, including out-of-state assignments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge and experience in General Contracting
  • EPA Certification
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and under budget
  • Computer skills
  • General knowledge of all trades
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Valid email address
  • Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Extremely organized
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel 75–100% of the time
  • Ability to work days, nights, or weekends
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, standing, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to work safely and use proper safety techniques and equipment
