About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and perform replacement and installation of commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop package units, condensers, evaporators, exhaust systems, ice machines, and walk-in coolers/freezers
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with building, demolition, removal, installation, and general construction tasks
- Communicate with Project Managers and Superintendents to understand project scope
- Perform duties with minimal supervision
- Meet with customers and store personnel to review projects
- Lead a crew of technicians
- Report crew performance issues
- Conduct project surveys to assist with estimating and scope creation
- Source and coordinate subcontractors as needed
- Follow project scope and jobsite protocols
- Identify out-of-scope problems and communicate them to management
- Purchase and deliver materials
- Submit daily reports, paperwork, photos, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, and expense reports
- Maintain a clean work environment and professional appearance
- Ensure crew attendance, appropriate breaks, and rest
- Ensure quality workmanship from self and crew
- Manage time and prioritize tasks
- Develop action plans to resolve issues and answer questions
- Perform heavy lifting, standing, bending, reaching, ladder climbing, and equipment maneuvering
- Travel out of state as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge and experience in General Contracting
- EPA Certification
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage time
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and under budget
- Computer skills
- General knowledge of all trades
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Extremely organized
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Access to reliable transportation to reach customer locations
- Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to travel 75-100% of time
- Ability to work days, nights, or weekends
- Ability to work safely, including use of proper safety techniques and equipment
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including standing, bending, reaching, maneuvering in small spaces, and moving equipment weighing in excess of 50 lbs.
