About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver therapy and support to clients on the waitlist in their homes, in the community, or via telehealth
- Provide crisis intervention and clinical coverage when situations require it
- Connect clients and families with vital community resources and services
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and clinical supervisors to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality care
- Strengthen relationships with referral sources, community partners, and other stakeholders
- Lead or contribute to outreach, education, and marketing efforts promoting Amethyst’s programs
- Support clients from the first point of contact and help bridge gaps in care
- Work with individuals on the waitlist and provide clinical coverage across programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, counseling, psychology, or a related field
- At least one year of post-graduate counseling experience
- Bilingual/Spanish fluency is a PLUS
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment, especially in high-pressure situations
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal skills that foster mutual trust, respect, and collaboration
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment
- Comfort providing services in the community; must have reliable transportation
- Experience supporting youth and families from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships across the community
