About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team driving commercial success by enabling, advising, and supporting the sales force
  • Oversee functional planning and execution of all field effectiveness programs and initiatives
  • Develop the department’s organizational design, roles and responsibilities, goals and objectives
  • Lead or co-lead special initiatives and projects, including sales force size and structure and launch readiness
  • Monitor field performance and execution; identify issues and opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Coordinate execution and pull-through of field force projects, including customer targeting, field reporting, field alerts and suggestions, omnichannel/digital, and field transformation
  • Lead, develop, mentor, coach, and train a team
  • Collaborate with the broader GCCI organization to align and support timely and accurate field effectiveness processes and deliverables
  • Monitor industry trends and marketplace developments to evolve capabilities and adapt to changing business needs
  • Optimize the field insight process and ensure efficient, high-quality reporting
  • Lead cross-functionally to improve field force effectiveness, including digital tools
  • Provide guidance and expertise on field force activities based on prior experience and industry trends
  • Liaise with operational delivery teams regarding support escalations, new projects, and process recommendations
  • Report to the Executive Director, US Field Excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate degree and 4 years of sales analytics and/or field effectiveness experience, or Master’s degree and 8 years of sales analytics and/or field effectiveness experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of sales analytics and/or field effectiveness experience
  • At least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources
  • Collaborative leadership
  • Experience in building and developing hard-working teams
  • Ability to think creatively and with innovation to drive influence with sales leadership
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose business issues and incorporate findings into strategies, plans and tactics
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements to field operations processes
  • Ability to work effectively with partners to ensure alignment and support for initiatives
  • Ability to clearly communicate the vision, goals, and progress of initiatives to partners at all levels of the organization
