About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team of Specialty Account Managers in the IgG4-RD space
- Lead the assigned geography and team to drive market penetration and achieve sales goals
- Analyze market dynamics and data, set strategic action plans, and ensure execution excellence
- Provide a clear, compelling clinical and business sales purpose
- Manage territory tools, data, cross-functional partners, marketing tools, administrative duties, learning, expenses, and program funding
- Build business strategy aligned with corporate and therapeutic-area goals
- Ensure team training, preparation, and consistent high-impact product messaging
- Achieve sales volume, target reach/frequency objectives, and other execution KPIs
- Collaborate across divisions and establish relationships with internal and external customers
- Recognize and reward individual and team sales performance
- Address performance issues and develop professional growth plans
- Educate self and team on IgG4-RD market trends and product knowledge
- Apply innovative technologies to improve efficiency and skill building
- Conduct weekly ride-alongs with written feedback and coaching
- Represent the organization at local, regional, and national trade shows
- Provide input to regional and national sales meetings
- Maintain safe working practices and comply with Amgen policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctorate degree AND 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Master's degree AND 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Bachelor's degree or AND 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
- 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
- Minimum of 4+ years sales management or 8+ years pharma/account management experience in rare disease preferred
- Sales experience in biologics, infusion, and/or rare/specialty products preferred
- Rare Disease experience preferred
- Buy-and-bill experience preferred
- Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks preferred
- Requires approximately 80% travel, some overnight and weekend commitments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Professional, proactive demeanor
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must adhere to regulatory guidelines and Amgen policies and procedures
