About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform financial modeling
- Prepare materials supporting the quarterly earnings process and quarter close
- Assist with quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and long-range plans
- Prepare and present results and ideas to senior management
- Provide financial support and ad hoc analysis to improve business performance
- Support multiple projects and participate in cross-functional teams
- Formulate and clearly deliver complex information, issues and recommendations in written and oral presentations to Finance Management
- Develop and use complex business and financial models to support decision-making
- Support financial consolidation of worldwide Amgen sales
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Finance/Accounting experience OR Associate degree and 6 years of Finance/Accounting experience OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Finance/Accounting experience
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience
- Prior experience with corporate planning software
- Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Detail oriented
- Excellent analytical and math skills
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and team environment
- Able to take the initiative and work under a minimum of direction
