About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead insights generation for TEPEZZA, the TED franchise pipeline, and support global commercialization planning
  • Partner with global marketing, global value and access, competitive intelligence, forecasting, and other cross-functional teams
  • Provide insights informing global go-to-market strategy, early commercial planning, therapeutic area strategy, and pipeline advancement
  • Support marketing excellence through aligned insights generation and deep brand-building knowledge
  • Serve as subject matter expert on HCP, patient, and payer insights
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to varied audiences, including senior leadership, and act as a devil’s advocate when needed
  • Synthesize market research, competitive intelligence, secondary data, and advisory board information into strategic insights
  • Facilitate workshops supporting clinical development plans, lifecycle management, strategic decisions, go/no-go decisions, and senior leadership presentations
  • Plan, design, and lead primary market research with research agencies across product lifecycle phases
  • Lead ad hoc strategic secondary analytics
  • Partner with commercial leadership and cross-functional partners to define and prioritize objectives, budgets, and work plans
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage best-in-class vendor relationships
  • Support advancement of AI capabilities for insights generation
  • Ensure projects comply with Amgen SOPs and meet quality, timeliness, and budget expectations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of commercial insights or consulting experience, OR Master’s degree and 4 years of commercial insights or consulting experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of commercial insights or consulting experience, OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of commercial insights or consulting experience, OR high school diploma/GED and 12 years of commercial insights or consulting experience
  • Demonstrated exceptional business acumen, strategic / critical thinking skills, and ability to influence key decisions
  • Proven ability to build and evolve brands through strategic insight generation
  • Expertise in market research design, Jobs-to-Be-Done methodologies, identification of moments that matter, and translating deep human insights into compelling brand narratives and customer experiences
  • Strong understanding of marketing and marketing strategy
  • Ability to independently extract, analyze, treat, and consolidate data from sources in formats with rigor and high level of accuracy and translate into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior management
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively in team-based, cross-functional environments
  • Ability to balance a multitude of stakeholders and projects in parallel
  • Ability to understand the complexities of the pharmaceutical market
