About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead U.S. Neurology external insight generation and congress activation strategy across gMG and NMOSD
  • Set and evolve the external insight strategy and define priority business questions
  • Own end-to-end Neurology advisory board strategy and execution
  • Synthesize advisory board insights into recommendations for franchise strategy, indication plans, customer engagement, content, and investment decisions
  • Establish and lead a structured field-insight model with the Thought Leader Liaison team
  • Identify emerging customer needs, opinion-leader dynamics, scientific developments, competitive activity, and account-level themes
  • Translate field intelligence into decision-ready insights for Medical Marketing, HCP Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, and franchise leadership
  • Lead the annual congress activation plan, sponsorship strategy, selection, contracting coordination, vendor management, and post-event assessment
  • Lead cross-functional congress activation and integrate insights, scientific priorities, promotional opportunities, field priorities, competitive intelligence, and post-congress follow-through
  • Lead strategic prioritization and activation requirements for Tier 3 local meetings
  • Contribute customer, scientific, field, and congress implications to annual brand planning, long-range planning, quarterly priorities, and tactical plans
  • Manage insights and congress budgets, agencies, and external vendors
  • Represent Insights and Congress Strategy Medical Marketing in franchise forums and communicate risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Modernize insight generation, field intelligence, congress planning, activation measurement, and knowledge sharing through capabilities, technologies, analytics, and AI
  • Directly lead, coach, and develop team members and establish priorities, decision rights, accountability, and development plans
  • Create an operating model balancing strategic leadership with disciplined execution
  • Foster scientific curiosity, customer centricity, ownership, collaboration, innovation, and high execution standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization; OR Master's degree and 4 years of marketing and/or business experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 6 years of marketing and/or business experience; OR Associate's degree and 10 years of marketing and/or business experience; OR high school diploma/GED and 12 years of marketing and/or business experience
  • Demonstrated direct people-management experience, including coaching and developing talent, setting priorities, and leading through change
  • Strong Medical Marketing, market research, or strategic insights expertise, including advisory board strategy and execution, field insight generation, customer intelligence, and insight synthesis
  • Experience leading congress portfolio strategy, sponsorship planning, cross-functional activation planning, external vendor management, budget oversight, and on-site execution across complex meeting portfolios
  • Experience collaborating with external experts, professional medical associations, and congress organizers
  • Experience developing promotional and disease-state materials through the MAC review process and systems such as Veeva PromoMats
  • Neurology experience preferred
  • Rare disease and launch or in-line brand experience preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, project management, and communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex information, lead through influence, and deliver across multiple cross-functional workstreams
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
