About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead analytics for managed care and organized customers
- Shape payer and provider strategies for the medical benefit portfolio
- Deliver integrated analyses and insights to coverage and pricing teams
- Monitor, diagnose and address payer obstacles and challenges
- Partner with US Payer Marketing and Pricing/Contracting and Brand Marketing teams
- Build and prioritize analytics and insights plans supporting value and access strategy
- Analyze pharmaceutical ecosystem datasets, including medical and pharmacy claims, prescription, outlet and chargeback data
- Provide oversight and delivery of managed markets analysis, including formulary position, utilization management controls, customer segmentation and control/sophistication assessment
- Prepare, refine and present periodic reports tracking product and portfolio performance
- Execute analytics plans using patient-level claims, payer claims, formulary coverage and specialty pharmacy data
- Constructively challenge teams with disconfirming information and encourage innovative problem solving
- Build relationships with cross-functional partners and provide ongoing support
- Perform longitudinal patient-level analysis, time-series modeling, customer segmentation and issue diagnostics
- Create data analytics models generating strategic, actionable business insights
- Report to the Director of Value & Access Analytics and Insights
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctorate degree and 2 years of business experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years of business experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of business experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of business experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of business experience
- Working experience on Analytics of products with Medical benefit and Pharmacy benefit usage
- Prior experience working with buy-and-bill products and understanding of provider reimbursement/NCR analytics
- Prior experience in contracts and pricing, direct payer experience or value marketing
- Foundational understanding of the US payer environment and U.S. healthcare market
- Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written/oral communication skills and executive presence
- Authoritative command of complexity and ambiguity
- Strong leadership skills with ability to influence different styles
- 5+ years of healthcare experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, health care, and/or strategy consulting, specifically in coverage, access and reimbursement drivers
- High degree of analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of business strategies
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python and Microsoft Excel
