About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent UPLIZNA to physicians and healthcare professionals
- Establish product sales and perform total territory account management
- Provide account management support for accounts within the designated geography
- Act as central account manager, driving product demand and coordinating relevant field teams
- Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve or exceed annual sales goals
- Promote UPLIZNA within approved labeling and in compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines
- Address access, pull-through, and reimbursement issues with key stakeholders and matrix team members
- Build customer relationships and communicate customer needs and goals to internal teams
- Meet or exceed corporate sales goals
- Communicate territory activity accurately and timely
- Drive product demand through disease-state and product education
- Coordinate with patient services and market access teams
- Coordinate between accounts and Amgen field teams to support account needs
- Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site-of-care options
- Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed
- Manage efforts within assigned promotional and operational budgets
- Maximize approved resources to achieve territory and account goals
- Complete company training and administrative duties
- Contribute to a high-performance team and perform other assigned responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience; OR associate degree and 6 years of such sales experience; OR high school diploma/GED and 8 years of such sales experience
- For Specialty Account Manager – Level 5: Doctorate degree and 2 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience; OR master’s degree and 6 years; OR bachelor’s degree and 8 years; OR associate degree and 10 years
- Demonstrated success involving reimbursement navigation, site of care education, and/or patient access coordination
- Experience promoting products requiring coordination with office staff, infusion centers, and patient services teams
- Ability to build strong customer relationships, educate on complex disease states, and adapt communication to diverse audiences
- Buy-and-bill experience and/or biologic/infusion experience strongly preferred
- Sales experience in Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Hematology, Neurology, and/or rare/specialty disease states preferred
- Site of care and reimbursement experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks preferred
- Pharma account management selling experience essential
- Approximately 80% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
