About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Detect suspicious financial activity and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Lead financial crime investigations and potentially supervise junior analysts
  • Collaborate with clients to manage financial crime risks
  • Identify data anomalies and red flags related to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations
  • Escalate cases for second-level review as appropriate
  • Verify client identities and relationship purpose in accordance with KYC procedures
  • Perform quality control tasks
  • Communicate with clients, analyze production data, and develop client-specific aids and training materials
  • Support analysts with workflow items and administrative tasks
  • Submit written work for internal and client quality control review
  • Incorporate feedback and meet designated deadlines and procedures
  • Comply with AML requirements, applicable laws, regulations, guidance, company policies, procedures, and client expectations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to thoroughly investigate potentially suspicious activities, analyze findings, and prepare detailed Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in compliance with regulatory requirements and clients’ internal policies
  • Strong knowledge of financial or banking industries and related regulations and laws
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to produce narrative or written summaries clearly synthesizing recommendations and conclusions
  • Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed daily production goals
  • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Capable of multitasking, working independently, and collaborating as part of a team
  • Receptive to feedback and able to implement changes effectively
  • Adaptability to new technologies and processes
  • Must not require employment immigration sponsorship or support, including CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F-1, H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, or I-485 job portability
