About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Detect suspicious financial activity and financial crime risks
  • Ensure compliance with AML requirements, federal and state laws, regulations, guidance, company policies, procedures, and client expectations
  • Lead investigations into money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations
  • Identify data anomalies and red flags and escalate cases for second-level review
  • Verify client identities and relationship purpose under Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures
  • Perform quality control tasks
  • Assist with client communication, production data analysis, and development of client-specific aids and training materials
  • Support analysts with workflow items and administrative tasks
  • Submit written work for internal and client quality control review and implement feedback
  • Meet deadlines and procedures for accurate, timely task completion
  • Potentially supervise junior analysts
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to investigate potentially suspicious activities, analyze findings, and prepare detailed Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
  • Strong knowledge of financial or banking industries and related regulations and laws
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize recommendations and conclusions in clear narratives or written summaries
  • Ability to meet and exceed daily production goals
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, prioritization, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team
  • Receptiveness to feedback and ability to implement changes effectively
  • Adaptability to new technologies and processes
  • Must work from a designated home address and workspace
