About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, code, and publish invoices and bills daily and weekly in a cloud-based platform for a client portfolio
- Ensure accuracy of key invoice and bill data fields
- Record daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and other entries, in QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Obtain and upload bank and credit card statements from clients and perform self-reviews for accuracy
- Prepare sales invoices and set up vendor payments on weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedules
- Refresh bank feeds in QBO/Xero or upload bank statements when feeds are not operational
- Compare bank statements with QBO/Xero bank feeds to confirm accuracy
- Assist with audits by providing required documentation and support
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support Cloud Accountants with general bookkeeping-related tasks
- Work closely with AMLB’s co-founders and team members in a remote, collaborative environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role using cloud-based software, or a bookkeeping/accounting degree
- Commitment of 2 years
- Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively within a team setting
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently manage and prioritize tasks
- Desire to grow with the company and in their career
- Good culture fit, including being friendly, open to feedback, and respectful of others' opinions
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero
- Ability to work remotely from a designated home office
