About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop career within a growing planning consultancy
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary consultancy
- Build client relationships and develop own workload
- Work on strategic planning projects, mainly planning applications and land promotions for residential development
- Advise on development potential of land and buildings
- Assist with preparing planning applications and appeals
- Provide policy advice and research
- Draft representations to plan consultations and examinations
- Assist in identifying land opportunities
- Work with clients and other consultants to deliver development
- Support planning applications and appeals for major house builders and developers
- Help lead projects, build client relations and champion the Marrons brand
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in a Planning role, ideally from within consultancy, development industry or local government
- A relevant Planning qualification
- Membership of RTPI or working towards membership
- Solid understanding of the planning process and systems
- Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently
- Drive, commitment, enthusiasm and a team player approach
- Employment subject to a variety of checks after an offer is accepted
