About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify future applications and translate requirements profiles for new automotive LED products
- Act as interface between customer light experts and internal development departments
- Design system reference designs including digital electronics, hardware, and software
- Drive key application development projects for future AM business
- Interface with segment engineering and product development
- Interface with the CTO organization as required
- Conduct technical market analysis
- Provide technical training for distribution and Field Application Engineering
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience with optoelectronic components and systems
- Experience with electronics, embedded systems, microcontrollers, software, optics, and thermal management
- Practical experience with technical market analysis and technical system specification
- Excellent communication and organization
- Proactive communication across locations in North America and globally
- Strong project management skills
- Self-starter able to solve complex problems, work independently, and deliver results
- Very strong customer orientation
- Willingness to travel to customers and other ams OSRAM locations domestically and worldwide
