About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and oversee construction sites on EP+/EPC contracts
- Seek and appoint Site Managers and Supervisors
- Review and validate technical documents and annexes generated by Engineering – Execution
- Secure flawless construction execution without risks, extras, or delays
- Provide technical induction and continuous updates to Site Managers and Supervisors
- Oversee and support Engineering/Execution on “C” packages during technical preparation and bidding
- Attend tendering and compare potential contractors in coordination with Procurement
- Follow up regularly on construction-site progress and validate construction solutions
- Maximize efficiency of manpower, tools, and cranes while preventing unexpected cost overruns
- Supervise planning of internal and outsourced Anaergia resources
- Cooperate with Commissioning on handover from construction to commissioning and start-up
- Cooperate with the Engineering Leader – Execution on erection engineering, O&M manuals, and CE certifications
- Coordinate with Project Managers to align responsibilities and achieve project targets
- Establish an EH&S culture within the team and construction-site organization
- Handle site bureaucracy, documentation, resource permissions, and contractor/vendor requirements
- Prepare regular monthly site reports
- Contribute to documentary and design quality matters and required certifications
- Promote a proactive working environment and prevent/manage conflicts
- Contribute to project reviews and lessons learned
- Promote continuous improvement of company processes
- Organize feedback dialogues and update departmental skills mapping
Requirements
What you’ll need- Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Energy Engineering degree (Bachelor, Master) or equivalent background
- Experience in the same or similar sectors appreciated
- Wide mindset in acknowledging and addressing criticalities correlated to complex industrial projects and installations, mainly on a turnkey basis from design to construction
- Proven knowledge across Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering disciplines
- Ability to interact with technical stakeholders
- Age requirement: 35–50 years old
- Italian or foreign nationality, eligible to work in Italy
- Availability to travel 60/70% of working time, with short business trips in the EMEA Region
- Several years of proven experience as Construction Manager, Site Manager, or Field Engineering Manager
- Solid background in EPC companies, preferably operating on complex industrial contracts and projects
- Fluent knowledge of foreign languages, including English
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of DWG platforms
- Excellent intercultural approach
- Proven leadership and people management
- Organization, planning, and reporting skills
- Flexibility, open-mindedness, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to establish relationships across all hierarchical levels within Anaergia and client organizations
