About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, test, and debug embedded software and firmware for hardware-based systems
- Support integration of software and hardware components
- Contribute to automation tools, test frameworks, and software utilities
- Participate in system validation, data collection, and performance analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions
- Document software designs, test results, and technical findings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic knowledge of embedded systems, software development, and computer engineering principles
- Familiarity with C, C++, Python, or similar programming languages
- Understanding of software debugging, testing, and problem-solving techniques
- Knowledge of Git or similar version control tools
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Familiarity with embedded operating systems, RTOS, or embedded Linux environments
- Exposure to software build systems, scripting, or automation tools
- Experience with engineering projects, coursework, or research involving embedded software, firmware, hardware-software integration, or system validation
- Knowledge of digital signal processing, communication protocols, or embedded hardware concepts is a plus
- Applicants other than US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals may undergo export licensing review
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and development methodologies
