About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own UI design from concept through launch
- Lead interface design across websites, eCommerce platforms, and digital products
- Translate brand, UX flows, and content into high-fidelity, build-ready desktop and mobile designs
- Apply WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility from the first artboard
- Build component libraries, interaction patterns, responsive behavior, and tiered design systems
- Document typography, color, spacing, motion, states, variants, and redlines
- Create high-fidelity prototypes to pressure-test flows and secure stakeholder sign-off
- Prepare organized Figma files and implementation-ready specification packages for AEM and Shopify partners
- Partner with developers through build and QA to ensure implementation matches the design
- Serve as primary UI lead and make decisions based on user needs, business goals, accessibility, and feasibility
- Scope design work to budgets and timelines and identify risks early
- Contribute to design systems, documentation, and design reviews
- Share knowledge with Experience and Creative teams
- Use Anchour's AI tools across exploration, documentation, and QA
- Report to the VP of Experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of UI, product, or digital design experience
- Strong portfolio of high-quality interface systems and shipped work
- Agency experience strongly preferred
- Strong typography, color, layout, hierarchy, and motion fundamentals
- Experience building design systems and component libraries
- Strong grasp of usability and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards
- Fluent in Figma and collaborative design workflows
- Comfortable working alongside developers through build and QA
- Solid understanding of front-end fundamentals
- Ownership of budgets, timelines, multiple projects, communication, and outcomes
- Shopify/eCommerce experience is a plus
- Experience designing for headless or enterprise CMS handoffs is a plus
- Collaborative, curious, low-ego approach
- Northeast-based, ideally
