About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead technical direction and architecture for greenfield websites and digital applications from inception through deployment
Drive hands-on engineering using modern .NET and C#
Establish coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices
Lead implementation and integration of Optimizely CMS / DXP
Guide and mentor delivery teams
Conduct code reviews and resolve technical blockers
Partner with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, and client commercial stakeholders
Translate business goals into technical solutions and sprint roadmaps
Ensure performance, accessibility, security, and scalability standards are met
Take complete technical ownership of customer-facing web platforms and digital applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience operating as a Lead Developer or Technical Lead on enterprise web builds
Deep hands-on expertise in modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+) and C#
Strong commercial experience implementing, configuring, and extending Optimizely CMS / DXP (formerly Episerver)
Understanding of modern web architectures, RESTful API design, headless setups, and cloud hosting environments
Experience with Azure preferred
Extensive experience with Agile delivery frameworks, including Scrum/Kanban
Experience driving sprint delivery and backlog management
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to articulate technical strategy to technical and commercial audiences
