About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build scalable cloud solutions as a specialist Senior Cloud Engineer
- Manage and deploy production Azure services across architecture, infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, availability, monitoring, security, and cost optimization
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps
- Embed Cloud and DevOps best practices into client projects
- Discuss commercial benefits of cloud and troubleshoot cloud or on-premise platform configurations
- Implement AI models and agents using Microsoft Foundry
- Troubleshoot brownfield platforms and applications and design greenfield cloud platforms
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor products for client solutions
- Mentor and upskill clients and colleagues
- Lead technical teams
- Collaborate with application developers and third parties on ideas, proofs of concept, and troubleshooting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience managing and deploying production services in Azure, including architecture design, infrastructure provisioning (IaC), CI/CD pipeline automation, high availability, monitoring, security, and cost optimization
- Experience building and maintaining IaC codebases using Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps
- Understanding of Cloud and DevOps best practices and standards
- Demonstrable knowledge of AI models and agent implementation using Microsoft Foundry
- Experience troubleshooting brownfield platform and application domains and designing greenfield cloud platforms
- Ability to evaluate new technology options and vendor products
- Experience leading technical teams
- Previous experience in a DevOps or platform engineering role
- Experience working in a Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery environment
- Solid understanding of on-premises legacy systems, including Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Management, SQL Server, and Windows Server
- Experience with Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, DNS Zones, VNet planning, routing, and peering
- Experience with public networking, public DNS, and public Certificate Authorities
- Experience with on-premise networking, routing, and firewalls
- Experience with Azure Front Door and API Management, including VNet Integration
- Experience with Azure App Services and Function Apps, including VNet Integration
- Experience maximizing security of publicly exposed services, including Web Application Firewalls, monitoring, and alerting
- Experience deploying and managing Azure resources using Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines
- Experience collaborating with application developers and third parties to develop ideas, test PoCs, and troubleshoot
- Ideal certifications: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
