About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure and platforms in Microsoft Azure
Standardize, provision, and maintain global infrastructure deployments using Terraform
Manage, secure, and scale production-grade Kubernetes clusters such as AKS
Ensure zero-downtime deployment pipelines
Automate manual operational tasks, self-healing systems, and CI/CD automation pipelines
Lead incident response and participate in an on-call rotation
Drive blame-free postmortems to prevent repeat incidents
Define, track, and maintain Service Level Indicators, Service Level Objectives, and Error Budgets with development teams
Take responsibility for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, monitoring, and emergency response of core cloud services
Bridge development and operations by applying engineering practices to system administration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on experience designing, provisioning, securing, and maintaining scalable Microsoft Azure cloud environments, including AKS, Virtual Networks, Key Vault, and Azure DevOps
Proven track record writing modular, clean, and reusable Terraform Infrastructure as Code modules
Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts, architecture, and production administration, including ingress controllers, Helm charts, stateful sets, and cluster security
Practical proficiency with Bash shell scripting
Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go
Experience with modern CI/CD tooling, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
Solid understanding of cloud networking, including DNS, routing, load balancers, and VPNs
Understanding of security best practices, including identity management, secret management, and least-privilege access
Nice to have: experience with New Relic or Datadog
Nice to have: familiarity with GitOps workflows and ArgoCD or Flux
Nice to have: experience with Ansible
Nice to have: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
