About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop enterprise applications and support end-to-end software development and delivery in an Agile Microsoft code-base environment
- Apply application development processes, coding standards, and performance standards to develop, test, and deploy software solutions
- Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand business processes, objectives, and solution requirements
- Prepare user stories and acceptance criteria using agile techniques
- Participate in testing, packaging, and delivering software and documentation to production
- Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve applications
- Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance
- Use scripting and programming languages to develop, test, and deploy software solutions
- Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts, and stakeholders on customer solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8–10 years of experience developing enterprise-level applications, preferably in a Federal Government environment
- Hands-on experience with ASP.NET, .NET 6, .NET Core, C#, MVC, MVVM, Entity Framework, and similar .NET design patterns and frameworks
- Experience developing responsive and web-enabled applications
- Experience integrating web services using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML
- Experience with relational data models in an Oracle database environment
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile Kanban and Scrum
- Experience leading small teams, projects, tasks, or initiatives preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent years' experience
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to successfully obtain a Position of Trust clearance
- VISA or Green Card holders do not meet this requirement
- Must be within a commutable distance to the Washington, DC Metro area
