About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute distributions across Belltower’s portfolio of investment funds
- Review distribution requests and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and operational readiness
- Coordinate cash distribution and wire workflows, including payment instructions, approvals, payment tracking, and resolution of failed or returned payments
- Review investor and fund data, ownership information, payment instructions, and distribution allocations across systems
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, exceptions, and operational breaks
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for distribution calculations, approvals, payments, and key decisions
- Identify recurring operational issues and drive process improvements
- Contribute to standard operating procedures, controls, and documentation
- Identify automation and AI opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy
- Collaborate with Fund Accounting, Services, Legal/Compliance, Tax teams, and external partners
- Report to the Distributions Team Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–5 years of relevant experience in private equity, venture capital, private funds, fund administration, or investment operations
- Experience supporting middle- or back-office operations for private investment funds, with exposure to distributions, capital activity, treasury/payments, investor operations, or similar fund life-cycle activities
- Working understanding of private fund structures and the operational relationship between funds, investors, portfolio investments, and fund administrators
- Experience working with high-volume, detail-oriented operational processes where accuracy, controls, and deadlines are critical
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review financial and operational data, identify inconsistencies, and investigate discrepancies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communicating issues clearly, escalating appropriately, and keeping stakeholders aligned
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort working with financial data and large data sets
- Accounting experience is not required
