About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate a single-person, high-pressure water jetting unit after training
  • Use specialist CCTV equipment to identify problems and promote repair work on the sewerage network
  • Investigate sewerage issues and provide first-time resolutions for customers
  • Respond to incidents and complete planned maintenance work
  • Accurately collect and record site feedback using IT systems
  • Work predominantly alone while engaging with internal and external customers
  • Address blockages, odours, flooding and incidents across the network
  • Deliver high service levels while complying with environmental regulatory standards
  • Participate in the standby roster for additional out-of-hours work
  • Uphold health and safety protocols

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience or willingness to work outside in all weathers
  • Hands-on/manual experience is beneficial
  • Good IT literacy, including handheld devices, mobile applications and digital systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Full driving licence
  • A 4.5 tonne licence is advantageous; training will be provided if needed
  • Ability to work within a confined space and at height without restrictions
  • Maximum weight of 113 kilograms due to harness weight limits
  • Ability to complete occupational health checks, including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV)
  • Willingness and ability to work standby and out-of-hours shifts
