About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support process safety risk management across water supply operations
- Provide technical guidance on hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures
- Apply barrier-based risk analysis
- Support incident investigations and embed lessons learned
- Drive continuous improvement in process safety systems and performance
- Deliver assurance and compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Collaborate across teams to promote a positive and proactive safety culture
- Influence decision-making, shape best practice, reduce risk, improve asset resilience, and support safe delivery of essential water services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Background in process safety, engineering, or risk management, or a history of working with toxic gases and chemicals such as chlorine and ozone
- Experience in high-hazard industries
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Working knowledge of barrier-based risk analysis and its application
- Ability to travel to sites across the Anglian Water region
- Passion for improving process safety, resilience, and operational excellence
