About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide practical, person-centred support to adults living with mental health and psychosocial needs within their communities.
- Support individuals to work towards personal goals, strengthen wellbeing and build greater independence.
- Assist with daily living, social and recreational activities based on individual needs and goals.
- Promote community access, social inclusion and meaningful participation.
- Provide practical assistance, advocacy and capacity-building support.
- Collaborate with Anglicare teams and external service providers across New England North West.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to safe, consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certificate IV in Community Services or a related qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience supporting people living with mental health conditions or psychosocial needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a person-centred approach.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to travel across regional locations as required.
- Ability to meet relevant probity requirements, including Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Preferred: Experience delivering community-based mental health or psychosocial support.
- Preferred: Understanding of strengths-based, recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice.
- Preferred: Knowledge of services and referral pathways across the New England North West region.
