About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide excellent customer experiences for residents, vendors, community partners, investors, and owners
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage performance of property management team members
  • Facilitate growth and development of property management team members
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Oversee community resident services
  • Conduct regular site visits
  • Conduct monthly financial analysis and report internally and externally to lenders, investors, and state finance agencies
  • Work with community teams to achieve above-average resident survey results
  • Support property team members and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Document internal and external reporting accurately
  • Oversee and enforce health and safety guidelines
  • Oversee community KPIs, including budgeted occupancy, accounts receivable, and property budget performance
  • Oversee daily accounting functions related to financial management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Create annual financial budgets for assigned properties
  • Adhere to LIHTC program requirements, including household qualification, annual recertifications, state agency and investor reporting, and property-specific requirements
  • Travel to and from locations for business-related purposes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years previous property management experience required
  • Low Income Housing Tax Credit experience required
  • 2-5 years previous management experience required
  • Ability to understand and analyze financial reports
  • Authentic and genuine care of others with a strong desire to impact positive change in residents’ lives
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated desire to learn and grow with a growing company
  • Ambitious individual for a fun and entrepreneurial working environment
  • Proficient communicator and listener
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Working knowledge of social media and MS Office software programs
  • Ability and willingness to effectively use other job-related technology tools
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a concentration in business, finance, accounting and/or real estate
  • Attend annual fair housing training
  • Attend state agency compliance training
  • Attend other company required training
