About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Document material and substance content of parts and materials based on technical sources
Maintain and update project records and process documentation for workflows and tasks
Recommend and implement continuous-improvement changes
Collect, test as needed, validate, and manage product and environmental compliance data
Review and process supplier-provided material composition information, including lab reports, according to defined protocols
Ensure documentation meets compliance standards
Support suppliers in producing required regulatory and compliance data
Facilitate information exchange between the business and clients
Track compliance activity progress and performance
Prepare technical and other reports documenting progress and results
Use product engineering, technical documents, and parametric data to support client and customer needs
Support senior engineers in assessing risks associated with material composition of parts and assemblies
Help document processes for collecting and managing environmental, carbon, and sustainability-related supplier data

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Chemical/Materials/Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical), Chemistry, or equivalent experience (minimum 1 year) specializing in Engineering – Chemical/Materials/Electrical/Electronic
Experience with parametric data and managing/interpreting technical drawings/datasheets
Knowledge of product compliance, Full Material Disclosure (FMD) data, and Material Safety Datasheets (MSDS)
2+ years’ experience in environmental compliance or product sustainability, with direct experience in EPEAT certification
2+ years’ experience in waste management regulations (e.g., WEEE, EPR) and sustainable packaging standards (e.g., FSC, compostable and recyclable materials)
Knowledge of electronics/electrical manufacturing, bills of materials (BoMs), and materials typically used in electrical/electronic manufacturing
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Strong proficiency with digital software data handling tools, including MS Office suite
Experience in SAP-EHSM, CMAP, CDX, IMDS, Alteryx, or Power BI is an advantage
Foreign-language technical capability, such as Chinese and/or Japanese, is an advantage and required on certain projects
