About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own deployment outcomes for assigned sites and data-hall waves, including capacity-unit and ready-for-service milestones
  • Confirm deployment readiness from construction kickoff, including floor access, power, network, receiving paths, and partner staffing
  • Be on site during delivery, deployment, QA, and close-out
  • Oversee rack delivery and receiving, integration QA, power-on, network turn-up, burn-in, and validation
  • Set daily priorities and quality gates and verify results using Anthropic-owned ticket and telemetry data
  • Validate handover gates for capacity units and data halls, including acceptance criteria, documentation, spares, ticketing, and production handover
  • Convert deployment lessons and best practices into procedures, checklists, acceptance standards, and metrics
  • Extend the deployment program to new sites and platforms
  • Communicate status, dependencies, constraints, and risks to engineering, capacity planning, site-schedule owners, and leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in data center operations or hardware deployment as a manager, technical lead, or related role
  • Proven track record leading large-scale compute or network hardware deployments across multiple sites or data-hall waves
  • Experience managing vendors, OEMs, or contract workforces to measurable outcomes
  • Hands-on technical depth in server, network, and rack-level hardware
  • Experience building or substantially improving operational processes
  • Ability to work with schedule, ticket, and telemetry data to drive decisions
  • Ability to travel heavily and work on site for extended stretches; 50% travel expected
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant domain or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
