About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead technical IT due diligence for acquisitions, assessing identity, applications, endpoints, and infrastructure
- Brief deal teams on IT risk and effort before closing
- Identify gaps between acquired environments and Anthropic’s security model
- Build mitigations into technical integration plans
- Define what moves, where it lands, sequencing, and day-one readiness requirements
- Run integrations by administering systems and migrating people, devices, and data
- Retire systems that are no longer needed
- Coordinate with Business Technology, Client Platform, Corporate Network, IT Operations, and Security
- Keep Corporate Development, Legal, People, Finance, and acquired-company teams informed about IT status
- Build a repeatable IT M&A playbook and automate repeatable work with Claude
- Contribute to core Corporate Systems projects when M&A workload is light
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
- 8+ years as a hands-on engineer in corporate IT
- Experience designing and shipping systems, carrying out migrations or integrations, and owning an area end-to-end
- Experience supporting identity, applications, endpoints, or corporate infrastructure
- Experience administering Google Workspace, Slack, and an SSO provider
- Working code in Python or similar against SaaS APIs
- Working knowledge of endpoint management and security concepts
- Ability to understand unfamiliar IT environments quickly and deliver prioritized risk assessments to non-specialists
- Experience leading technical projects spanning several teams and fixed deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously with ambiguity and confidential information
- Clear communication with executives, legal and corporate development teams, and engineers at acquired companies
- Prior M&A, carve-out, or company-to-company migration experience is a strong candidate advantage
- Experience across endpoints, systems, applications, and infrastructure is a strong candidate advantage
- Hands-on device fleet or MDM management experience is a strong candidate advantage
- Experience working in or alongside a security team is a strong candidate advantage
- Experience building tooling to replace manual IT work is a strong candidate advantage
- Experience using Claude or similar tools as a core part of work is a strong candidate advantage
