About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own network deployment outcomes for assigned sites and data-hall waves, including DCN, management, telemetry, accelerator chip back-end networks, and aggregation layers
  • Engage from construction kickoff and confirm network readiness before each deployment wave
  • Be on site during network delivery, cabling, turn-up, QA, and close-out
  • Validate network-build handover gates, including cabling and link validation, acceptance criteria, documentation, spares, ticketing, and production handover
  • Own the network repair program across the fleet, including SLAs, prioritization, escalation paths, and backlog tracking
  • Manage RMA and spares for network gear with vendors and site operations partners
  • Lead weekly deployment and repair reviews and scorecards with partner site leads
  • Analyze failure patterns and drive corrective actions with network engineering, suppliers, and WAN/Core teams
  • Convert deployment and repair lessons into procedures, checklists, acceptance criteria, and metrics
  • Communicate status, dependencies, and risk to engineering, capacity planning, and leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in data center operations or network deployment as a manager, technical lead, or related role
  • Proven track record leading large-scale data center network deployments across multiple sites or data-hall waves
  • Experience running break-fix or repair programs for network hardware, including ticket flow, RMA, and spares
  • Experience managing vendors, OEMs, or contract workforces to measurable outcomes
  • Hands-on technical depth in data center networking, including switches, structured cabling, fiber, and optics
  • Experience building or substantially improving operational processes
  • Comfort working with schedule, ticket, telemetry, and inventory data
  • Ability to travel heavily and work on site for extended stretches; 50% travel expected
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant domain or equivalent practical experience
  • Required field relevant to the role, demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
