About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design products, develop tech packs, and liaise with product developers to bring new products to life
- Lead accessories projects from ideation through final product launch, including creative design, colour, materials, prototyping, sampling, and final specifications
- Manage design projects to agreed deadlines and cost objectives
- Research and source new materials, technologies, processes, and product innovations
- Design products with sustainability and circularity at their core
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and market opportunities
- Present commercially viable product opportunities to the wider business
- Develop and manage colour direction across the accessories range
- Work with design and development teams in the UK, Australia, and Hong Kong across multiple time zones
- Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to align product strategy with brand and commercial objectives
- Liaise with external vendors and factories to develop and deliver product
- Support junior designers, share knowledge, and maintain high creative standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven bag and accessory design experience, ideally developed within a global brand environment
- Highly creative and confident in taking the lead, with a clear design and decision-making process
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Highly organised, with experience managing project calendars across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Comfortable working across multiple product types beyond bags
- Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to a high level of proficiency; additional design software welcomed
- Paper prototyping and sketch modelling skills
- A strategic approach to colour
- Strong verbal and written communication, listening, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work across cultures, time zones, and functions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a positive attitude under pressure
- Experience managing or mentoring junior designers (nice to have)
- Exposure to sustainability-led design practices and circular product development (nice to have)
- Experience working with factories and vendors in Asia or Australia (nice to have)
