About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate strategic portfolio goals into detailed technical roadmaps
- Own prioritization, communication, and deployment of improvements across perception, behavior, navigation, and locomotion
- Integrate key account insights into the product roadmap and align development priorities with customer business value
- Define and manage product strategy for resilience, reliability, and coverage
- Create value propositions and requirements, including the Operational Design Domain (ODD), to guide engineering efforts
- Work with R&D teams in perception, navigation, and locomotion to translate product needs into functional specifications
- Balance engineering trade-offs against customer value as the primary product point of contact
- Drive continuous improvement of robot reliability and safety
- Establish robot-performance KPIs, including success rates, intervention frequency, and navigation efficiency
- Identify and remediate performance bottlenecks
- Anticipate technical challenges, edge cases, dependencies, and risks within the autonomy stack
- Collaborate with field engineering to deploy features successfully at key accounts
- Synthesize real-world performance data and issues into actionable product backlogs
- Ensure deployment lessons inform the technical evolution of the autonomy stack
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering or science degree with a strong focus on Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Proven experience with industrial customers and understanding of their business needs for robotic inspection
- Experience in one or more core robotics disciplines: perception, path planning (navigation), robot behavior, or advanced control/locomotion
- Experience in technical product management, ideally for complex hardware-software integrated products
- Experience defining Operational Design Domains (ODDs) for robotic or autonomous systems
- Experience managing safety and performance validation associated with ODDs
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to break down ambiguous customer needs and requirements into concrete development sprints and deliverables
- Ability to understand how software-driven behavior changes impact physical robot hardware and vice versa
- Practical experience with real-world robotics deployments in industrial, unstructured, or outdoor environments
- Experience with mission-critical systems or safety-certified development processes
- Familiarity with ROS2, simulation environments, and data-driven regression testing
