About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently install, configure, and administer complex server, network, and security solutions for customers
Manage and optimize active network components and firewall systems, particularly Fortinet, Aruba, and UniFi
Analyze and resolve complex technical queries in the Microsoft environment at 2nd- and 3rd-level support
Plan, lead, and manage diverse IT projects from initial concept through successful implementation
Perform ongoing system monitoring and proactive troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations
Support the team with cross-site ticket handling
Create structured system documentation
Support renowned existing customers remotely and directly on-site

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed technical education (technical college, university of applied sciences, or university) or an equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience
Several years of solid hands-on experience as an IT Systems Engineer, Senior Administrator, or in a comparable senior IT infrastructure role
Very good knowledge of the Microsoft environment, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and virtualization
Strong expertise in networking and security, particularly Fortinet, Aruba, and Ubiquiti UniFi
Willingness to work primarily on-site at the office (1160 Vienna) and at customer locations; limited need for remote work
Analytical mindset, a high degree of ownership, service orientation, and enjoyment of proactive communication
Fluent German and very good written and spoken English
