About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the technical development and assessment of concept and feasibility solutions (FEL1/FEL2) for gas transmission and storage growth projects and opportunities
- Translate business, customer and technical requirements into practical, fit-for-purpose engineering concepts
- Develop and evaluate multiple technical options
- Undertake optioneering and trade-off assessments to identify viable solutions
- Apply advanced engineering judgement to solve complex technical problems where information or project requirements may still be evolving
- Prepare engineering reports, technical assessments and recommendations to support project development and key decision-making
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and internal and external stakeholders
- Develop solutions and progress opportunities through project stage gates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline
- Demonstrated experience working in senior engineering roles
- Experience in concept development, feasibility, FEED or other early-stage engineering activities within energy, infrastructure, resources or a related industry
- Strong technical problem-solving and optioneering skills
- Ability to develop and assess solutions from a multidisciplinary perspective
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and use sound engineering judgement where information or requirements are incomplete
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience in gas transmission, pipelines, compression, storage or broader energy infrastructure highly regarded
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
- Subject to background vetting, including Police checks, before and during employment
