About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure production requirements are achieved by adhering to assigned schedules
Plan, manage, monitor, and evaluate workflow to achieve safety, quality, and productivity standards
Develop and implement plans for efficient labor utilization and staffing needs
Review operating procedures and space utilization, modifying them when necessary
Evaluate and troubleshoot systems and processes affecting production efficiency
Monitor and address equipment repairs, maintenance repairs, and safety concerns
Partner with maintenance and engineering to optimize equipment performance and reliability
Create and promote an environment encouraging exceptional customer service
Provide leadership in recruiting, selecting, and developing hourly employees
Mentor and empower employees through delegation and coaching
Support and administer company policies and procedures consistently
Ensure good housekeeping throughout manufacturing, distribution, and common areas
Meet or exceed performance and productivity standards
Promote a safe and healthy work environment
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
Perform other assignments as requested or required by business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience managing high-volume production processes in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
Experience with payroll software
Knowledge of OSHA standards and safe manufacturing practices
Ability to work 36+ hours with flexibility to alter coverage
Strong manufacturing aptitude and sound judgment
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Maintain regular and predictable attendance
Clear, effective communication skills
Ability to work respectfully with employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with team members, vendors, and visitors
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and consistently apply company processes and procedures
Forklift operating experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid lift truck certification
Successfully complete drug and background screenings
