About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build security into CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployments to OpenShift
- Implement static analysis, dependency and secrets scanning, container image scanning and image integrity checks
- Define and implement OpenShift security baselines, including Security Context Constraints, RBAC, network policies, admission control and compliance profiles
- Verify OpenShift security controls continuously
- Support development teams with threat modeling, security user stories, secure-coding guidance and training
- Manage container-platform vulnerabilities, advisories, registry and runtime scan results
- Scope application penetration tests and drive remediation with development teams
- Translate ISO 27001 requirements and group security policies into automated checks
- Automate security response actions, including blocking vulnerable releases, triggering rollbacks and feeding findings into incident and vulnerability processes
- Document platform security runbooks
- Build deputy capability for cluster operations with platform engineers
- Collaborate with the platform engineering team at maxon's Swiss headquarters and the Cloud Security Engineer in Barcelona
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps or container-platform security
- Experience securing OpenShift or a comparable enterprise Kubernetes distribution in production, or strong Kubernetes background with the drive to learn OpenShift quickly
- Hands-on experience building security gates into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with GitOps, policy as code, container image scanning and secrets management
- Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of OWASP, ISO 27001 or CIS Benchmarks
- Ability to coach developers and turn security topics into practical guidance
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues in another location using written, asynchronous and structured communication
- University degree in computer science or comparable vocational training
- Fluent English
- Based in Spain (Barcelona)
- German is a nice-to-have
- Red Hat certifications are a nice-to-have
- Software supply-chain security experience, including SBOM, signing and attestation, is a nice-to-have
- Azure fundamentals are a nice-to-have
